Stovetop
After soaking, bring water to a boil, add rice, reduce to low, cover and simmer 12–15 minutes. Remove from heat and let rest 5 minutes.
Microwave
1 cup rice + 1.5 cups hot water in a suitable dish, covered, full power 10 minutes, then 10 minutes on lower power to finish.
Rice cooker
Use a 1:1.5 ratio. The cooker will switch off automatically — for best texture leave on keep-warm for 5 more minutes.
