Authentic Pakistani & Indian Tandoori Chicken Recipe

TANDOORI CHICKEN (with Shan Tandoori Masala)

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken (legs, drumsticks, or breast pieces, skinless preferred)

  • 1 pack Shan Tandoori Masala

  • 200 g plain yogurt (Greek yogurt works best)

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
    (or 3 cloves garlic + 2 cm fresh ginger, finely minced)

  • Salt to taste (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Wash the chicken and make deep cuts in the meat.

  2. In a bowl, mix yogurt, Shan Tandoori Masala, lemon juice, oil, and ginger-garlic paste.

  3. Coat the chicken thoroughly, making sure the marinade gets into the cuts.

  4. Cover and marinate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight in the fridge.

  5. Bake at 200 °C / 400 °F for 35–45 minutes, or grill until fully cooked and slightly charred.

  6. For extra color, finish under the grill/broiler for a few minutes.

Serving:

Serve with naan bread, basmati rice, fresh salad, and yogurt raita.
