Pakistani Kofta Curry with Eggs
Pakistani Kofta Curry with Eggs (Serves 2–3)
🥣 Ingredients
For the Koftas (Meatballs):

400 g minced beef (or lamb)

1 small onion (very finely chopped)

2 tbsp fresh coriander (chopped)
-
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
-
1 tsp salt
-
½ tsp red chili powder
-
½ tsp cumin powder
-
1 tbsp gram flour (or breadcrumbs)
-
1 egg (for binding)
For the Curry:
-
2 tbsp oil
-
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
-
2 tomatoes (blended or finely chopped)
-
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
-
½ tsp turmeric powder
-
1 tsp red chili powder
-
1 tsp coriander powder
-
½ tsp garam masala
-
Salt to taste
-
1½ cups water
-
2 boiled eggs (peeled)
-
Fresh coriander for garnish
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare Koftas
Mix minced meat with onion, coriander, spices, gram flour, and egg. Shape into small balls.
2️⃣ Fry Koftas
Lightly fry in oil until golden brown (do not fully cook). Remove and set aside.
3️⃣ Prepare Curry Base
In the same pan, sauté onions until golden.
Add ginger-garlic paste and cook 1 minute.
Add tomatoes and cook until oil separates.
Add turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, salt.
4️⃣ Cook Koftas
Add water and bring to boil. Gently add koftas.
Cover and cook 15–20 minutes on low heat.
5️⃣ Add Eggs
Add boiled eggs (whole or halved). Sprinkle garam masala.
Simmer 5 minutes.
6️⃣ Serve
Garnish with fresh coriander.
Serve hot with naan or rice.
