🥗 Pakistani Chana Chaat (Easy & Quick Recipe)

🛒 Ingredients (2–3 servings)

  • 2 cups boiled chickpeas (canned works great)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tomato (chopped)
  • 1 small potato (boiled & diced) (optional but traditional)
  • 1–2 green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander (chopped)

For seasoning:

  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • ½ tsp roasted cumin powder
  • Salt (to taste)

For tangy flavor:

  • 2 tbsp tamarind chutney
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Optional toppings (but highly recommended):

  • 2–3 tbsp yogurt
  • Sev (crispy chickpea noodles)
  • Pomegranate seeds

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prep the base:
    In a large bowl, add boiled chickpeas, onion, tomato, and potato.
  2. Add spices:
    Sprinkle chaat masala, red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt.
  3. Mix the tangy flavors:
    Add tamarind chutney and lemon juice. Mix everything well.
  4. Add fresh elements:
    Toss in green chilies(optional) and coriander.
