Halal meat at Shalamar Foods comes exclusively from halal certified abattoirs and is always fresh-frozen. We offer halal chicken (whole, breast, thighs, wings, mince), halal lamb and goat (portions and curry cubes), halal minced beef, halal fish and seafood. Most stock is available at our Prague 3 shop (Lipanská 3) – in-store pickup is the fastest and free option. We also deliver chilled/frozen nationwide within 24 hours of order, using thermal packaging to maintain temperature. We follow halal principles from slaughter (Zabiha) to dispatch: no cross-contamination with non-halal products in storage, every item clearly labelled, certification provided on request for any batch.

Halal meat range

Halal chicken – Whole chicken, breast, thighs, wings, mince, marinated tikka/tandoori pieces. Best-selling for biryani, curry and grilling.

Halal lamb – Curry cubes for rogan josh and vindaloo, ribs, mince for kebab and seekh. Young lamb, milder than beef.

Halal goat – Traditional choice for Pakistani and Indian curry. Richer than lamb, leaner.

Halal fish & seafood – Pangasius, tilapia, rohu, shrimp, squid. Popular in Bengali and South Indian cooking.

Halal minced beef – For kofta, kebab, seekh and keema dishes.

What "halal" means in practice

Halal (حلال) means "permitted" under Islamic dietary law. Meat must meet:

• Animal must be healthy at the time of slaughter
• Slaughter by Zabiha – a single cut across the throat with a sharp blade, reciting "Bismillah, Allahu Akbar"
• Blood must be fully drained from the body
• No stunning by electricity or CO2 (some certifications allow this)
• No contact with pork products during processing, storage and distribution

Is your meat truly halal certified?

Yes, all meat suppliers hold halal certification recognised in the EU. We can provide a certificate for any specific product on request at info@shalamar.cz.

Is the meat fresh or frozen?

Most stock is frozen for longer shelf life and safe distribution. For Prague in-store pickup we also stock fresh (chilled) variants, call +420 608 960 942 in advance.

Do you deliver halal meat nationwide?

Yes, we ship chilled/frozen across the Czech Republic. Thermal packaging and ice packs keep the temperature, delivery within 24 hours.

Do you sell in bulk to restaurants?
