Welcome to Shalamar Foods Czech Republic, a trusted name in the wholesale and retail distribution of premium quality South Asian and international food products. 🌏 Our Story
The name Shalamar Foods is inspired by the location of Shalamar Garden, located in what is now Pakistan. They were built in the seventeenth century by the ruler of the Mughal Empire, Shah Jahan. They are very extensive and still form one of the important monuments of Pakistan. In 1981, they were accepted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The company Shalamar Foods, s.r.o. was established in October 2008 with the aim of providing a comprehensive and high-quality service in the field of import and wholesale of Indian and Pakistani specialties. As one of the first wholesale importers, we introduced high-quality Himalayan basmati rice to the Czech market, which is currently one of the usual ingredients of Czech cuisine. Gradually, we expanded the assortment, with mainly Indian specialties, to include other items of Asian and international cuisine. Based on growing demand, we have added quality Ayurvedic cosmetics to the range of food specialties. Our suppliers are among the top in their field and can boast international quality certificates.
We offer a wide range of spices, original curry spice mixes, basmati rice, quality oils, teas, legumes, sauces, chutneys and more to our clients, which include mainly professional gastro operations and retail stores.
